Welcome to our website. My name is Vašo Michalčík (alias Washo) and I founded the website bestmusiccourses.com to help especially beginner musicians on their way of learning to play a musical instrument.

I studied music composition and music theory at the Academy of Performing Arts in Slovakia and I have actively played with several bands at home and abroad and also taught at a primary art school (keyboard, piano). As a teacher, I was aware that the most important value is to inspire in students a positive and creative relationship with music. Today’s world offers a variety of ways to learn to play a musical instrument, and the development of web and mobile applications has brought new stimuli to music education.

Many music enthusiasts have different reasons for not taking traditional instrument classes but prefer to self-teach at home at a time and pace that suits them.
